barely here

i've been up for an hour, swigged 20 oz of cold coffee and managed to start baking potatoes for tonight's dinner. would kill to be able to drop abby at school and go back to bed. the shit i would get at work is not worth the benefits of extra sleep.

my goal is to spend tomorrow cleaning the entire apartment so it doesn't look like a landfill. then we can keep it that way and i can spent the weekend that Abby and John are away scrapping and watching way too much CNN.

still haven't mastered the concept of keeping coffee mug near me. i'm getting better - it's about 10 ft away in my kitchen now.

You need a retractable leash for it. :)

Where are John and Abby going?

Right now, I can't wait for Friday, when tons of checks should come in with money and we can pay some freakin' bills and maybe even get a cheap, non-broken sofa. Ricky broke ours. :(

a year ago march, John decided he wanted to start Live Action Role Playing. The game is in Connecticut, starts Friday night at 7 and ends Sunday at 1pm, and it's one weekend a month, eight months a year. I wasn't happy about this. He didn't spend enough time with just me (plenty of time with me and abby or just abby) and it left me who goes nowhere with the added child watching burden (which pissed me off because i'm already the primary caregiver/housekeeper/maid of all trades do it all know everything). I told him I would sign off on this ONLY if he dealt with finding someone to watch abby so it wouldn't inconvienience me. I wasn't going to make any plans for a babysitter. So he called my mother, explained the situation, and now eight months a year, he drops abby at Mom's on the way to CT, I get a weekend to do as i wish and he gets beaten with foam swords in CT. all are happy now. :)

yea money! boo broken sofa!

Seems kinda a copout that he called _your_ mom, but hey, if it works! (Not like Ricky could call his for our child ...)

I don't know about you, but I hate it when Ricky works the weekend and I'm off. In a very real way, it's like I don't have a weekend off at all. And I hate it when I have to work on his two days off, which is very very frequently the case. :(

Glad it worked out well for you, tho!! :)

it would've been a copout if _I_ called my mom. he dials, he asks, he tailors his departure to her schedule.

i used to hate John not being around when i am free. i don't mind so much anymore. it's my time to recharge _my_ batteries. sleep when i want, eat crap if i want, spend hours working on my scrapping or my photos and not being interrupted by momma i want or hey honey what are you doing. not sharing anything - tv, food, drink. (momma can i have some of that?) i mind more if i'm working and he's not. too much potential for him being stupid and forgetting he's not allowed to look at certain web sites.
